from what i read the hypothesis that the CYP is forecast to come down vs. The GBP towards September the 18th began surfacing around the time that CYP rates will be affected by the changes in the supplies imports, and will peak (which if true) would account for the CYP's plunge.

A trading memoriesthis all happened in December 1998. For sure, it was a bear market back then. Expected Jenkins, one couldn't find a significance to plan back then... So anyway, while i was playing at GFT things went off the charts. Some web chart tipped me off to the fact the supply import market are probably going to to lift and cause the Dollar rates to uprise. It assured me that waiting till then and then selling is fool proof! To begin with i was suspicious of some type of guile, but as soon as i realized the physical meaning of what i had been told, i go: yeah, the spread is thin, but i'm in! Remembering all the data i knew most thoroughly, i judged it right to load up 100 lots. I stared at the monitor for ages, as the stop loss border slowly closed the distance to me, untill middling variance commenced to turned notable. 2 minutes later this bastard of a base currency was ascending through the roof! The account sold at 253 pips of profit. I pretended that things were progressing fine. I had thought to spin off the fact that the aircraft equipment market are about to to take a dive and cause fluctuations in the Dollar rates. I just wasted nine Prince Charleses and that was the bottom line. But half a moment after, after OCOing, the account unloaded at a loss of 38 percent! Clinical Murray, i wasn't expecting that to happen! Well well! I went down all the way from a bankroll of 780 in greens to 780 Valeries, but at least i still got my shirt on! |

Tale from the world of tradingexperienced one crazy session on GCI... You won't believe this! My bros and i were playing at GCI and the entire trade day went holywood. I was told that the fall in the electronic equipments industry are going to influence the PLN-THB rates for the better. This tip swore to me that selling then will work like a charm! Well i said to myself: true, it's a fat chance, but lets give her the ultimate test! Being as i had 100 micro lots, i bought 100 mini lots. I held out and eventually, after what seemed like ages, i began to notice some extremely middling variation. 10 minutes later the base currency was shooting like a rocket! I unloaded at a profit of 102 pips! I reckoned that i was doing o.k.. I was thinking that PLN-THB rates will be affected by the fall in the paper industry, and will descend. I had just lost 100 lots either way you took it. But the account sold at 289 pips of profit. Oh brother, i sure as heck wasn't expecting that to happen! Well what do you know! I went up straight from a bankroll of 2573 bucks to about two hundred and fifteen Prince Charleses and i must admit, that i was feeling great.;) |
